Britain announced Monday new sanctions targeting six members of the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, including Foreign Minister Faisal al-Miqdad, for their role in "suppressing the Syrian people."
British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said, "Today, we hold six other members of the regime accountable for their comprehensive assault on the citizens they are supposed to protect."
This is a developing story.
